The administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), Iván Eskildsen, referred this Thursday to the reactivation of the Atlapa Convention Center, after it was disabled from holding major events due to the use given to it by the Ministry of Development Agricultural (Mida) since the beginning of the pandemic due to Covid-19, in order to assemble the solidarity bags.
The first thing that Eskildsen declared is that they will ensure the reactivation, since this must be a gradual transition between Mida and the ATP.
In turn, he stated that the event “Beyond Van Gogh -The Immersive Experience”, which will take place from September 14 in the Atlapa Islands, will help people go knowing that the site is gradually being reactivated. . He specified that there are already other events agreed on the agenda that will be held in that place.
He revealed that they are evaluating together with the National Chamber of Tourism (Camtur) and the Panamanian Association of Congresses, Exhibitions and Related, what would be the future vocation of Atlapa, “since there are new convention centers, and Atlapa must become a complement and not a competition to ensure that we are competitive as a country.
