Aguascalientes, Ags., Aguascalientes is ready to have its first female governor, stressed Teresa Jiménez, candidate of the coalition formed by the National Action, Institutional Revolutionary and Democratic Revolution parties, who is the virtual winner of last Sunday’s contest by obtaining 53.7 percent of the vote.
At the close of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program, the PAN member, former mayor of Aguascalientes, added 294,464 votes, which represent 20 points more than those obtained by her main opponent, Morena’s candidate, Nora Ruvalcaba.

and will seek unity for the benefit of the state.

Morena’s standard-bearer, Nora Ruvalcaba, who achieved 33.52 percent of the vote, captured 26,548 more votes for her party than in 2021.
The Citizen Movement entity also grew, since its candidate, Anayeli Muñoz, obtained 32,270 votes, representing 6.9 percent of the votes, while last year that party only achieved 3.5 percent.
Those who did very badly went to the PT and PVEM, who obtained less than one point in the vote with their candidate Martha Márquez and are left without prerogatives.
