In the morning hours of this Saturday, May 27, a plane crash occurred at the José Tadeo Monagas Airport in Maturín that left two people dead. The plane, model C525 and acronym YV-179E, took off to do flight practice and, apparently, the plane turned off after a few minutes of being in the air after trying a pirouette. It fell to the ground generating a great roar and subsequent fire.
The aircraft was piloted by Dagoberto Valdez, who served as captain pilot, and owner of the Águilas Pilot aviation school, and as co-pilot and student traveled the citizen identified as York Alejandro Romero, a native of the city of Puerto La Cruz in the state Anzoátegui.
Witnesses on the ground describe the plane taking “a strange turn” and plummeting to the ground.

The Aeronautical Firefighters arrived at the area of the incident to put out the fire that was registered. Similarly, officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) appeared at the scene to remove the bodies.
Along with them, members of the National Guard and the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) attended.
It is expected that soon the authorities in Monagas will be able to clarify what happened at the José Tadeo Monagas Airport in the city of Maturín.
