Two major traffic accidents, which occurred in the last few hours in Cusco, have left at least three people dead and dozens injured, the same ones that were referred as an emergency to different hospitals in the region.
The first incident occurred last Monday night on the Nasca – Cusco national highway, at kilometer 949 in the Pucyura-Anta district, where a multiple collision of three vehicles left two people dead.
The law enforcement officers confirmed a triple collision between vehicles with license plate C4D-694, driven by Rafael Apaza Huallparimachi (deceased), and his companion Margarita Acostupa Rojas (deceased); the X3Z-057 license plate vehicle, driven by Elvis Mejía (31), and the BLR-035 license plate vehicle, whose driver fled with an unknown address.
It is worth mentioning that the deceased couple was rescued while still alive and transferred to Class de Anta, where due to the seriousness of the injuries they lost their lives; Likewise, the driver Elvis Mejía, was taken to the police station for his respective dosage with negative results.
REGRETTABLE
The second event was an oversight and rollover that occurred last Tuesday at 09:35 a.m., on the Cusipata – Quispicanchi road, where one person was killed and twenty were injured.
The AUX-887 interprovincial taxi bus, belonging to the company ‘Milagros SRL’, driven by Edwin Puma, overturned, resulting in the instantaneous death of the person identified as Maycol Olivera Condori, in addition to 22 injured, of whom the most serious were referred to Cusco.
Both facts were communicated to the specialized investigation unit of the Police, which carries out investigations to determine the exact causes of the unfortunate traffic accidents.
