Authorities of Cúcuta presume that the attack with car bomb in the toll of Villa del Rosario was the work of the Eln
In the night of Wednesday, February 19, a strong explosion was recorded in the toll that is located on the International Highway that communicates to Cúcuta, capital of the Northern Department of Santander, with San Antonio del Táchira; leaving at least six people injured and large material losses.
According to Colombian media, the explosion that destroyed the toll Simón Bolívar would have been perpetrated by elements of the National Liberation Army (ELN), where it also indicates that witnesses in the place heard gusts of shots during the fact and warn that there are possibly hostages.
They also refer that the car that exploded causing damage to that toll had, apparently, Venezuelan plaque.
This fact also included eight coordinated attacks in less than 24 hours, with explosives aimed at police units, mainly in the Cúcuta metropolitan area.

George Quintero, secretary of Citizen Security of the capital of Norte de Santander, said that the Government will offer up to 100 million pesos for anyone who provides information that allows clarifying the facts and finding those responsible for the attack.
“The Departmental Health Institute reported that six people were transferred to care centers after the attack with explosive artifacts to the toll of Villa del Rosario. The people who were injured are house workers who, for the moment, remain out of danger, ”explained Quintero.
These people, according to the reporter in Táchira de Radio UnionYairis Sosa, are workers of the National Roads Institute (Invías), a taxi driver and guards of the attacked toll, located in Villa del Rosario.
Almost simultaneously this morning was attacked with shooting a police post located in the historic temple, in front of the native house of General Francisco de Paula Santander, one of the heroes of Independence, also in Villa del Rosario, and the police station of the stop, currently under construction.
