At least eight dead in Hamburg after shooting against Jehovah’s Witnesses

On Thursday night in the city of Hamburg, in northern Germany, a shooting at a Jehovah’s Witnesses center of worship caused the death of at least eight people, according to EFE.

There is also a still undetermined number of wounded, several of them seriously.

The alleged attacker is a man, also deceased at the scene, between 30 and 40 years old, a member of the religious group, according to Der Spiegel.

At the moment, the motivation for the attack that began around 9 p.m. is unknown. A witness, resident in a building in front of the place, recorded some images of the event and reported that after hearing about 25 shots, it took a few minutes until he heard a final one.
