At least 23 people have died as a result of a plane accident that took place early this Sunday at the Muan International Airport, a southwestern city of South Koreawhen a plane left the runway and crashed into a fence.
The accident occurred around 9:07 a.m. (local time) this Sunday during a landing maneuver of a Jeju Air flight from Bangkok in which 175 passengers and six crew members were traveling, according to police and fire sources cited by the South Korean Yonhap news agency.
The country’s authorities have already started an investigation on the ground to clarify the exact causes of the incidentof which no further details have been released at the moment, and they also continue to carry out rescue operations.
