At least 190 people were apprehended in the last 24 hours in ‘Operation Genesis’

In the last 24 hours, some 190 people have been apprehended for various crimes through “Operation Genesis 2022”, by the security forces at the national level.

Of this total of apprehended, 108 are for trades, 02 for drug trafficking, 08 for micro-trafficking, 60 administrative offenses and 12 for flagrancy.

The apprehensions took place at different points throughout the country, 45 raids were carried out, achieving the seizure of 4 firearms, 2 recovered vehicles, 4 packages with drugs, illicit substances, B/. 560.95 and 150 ammunition.

Also, 16 foreigners who did not meet the immigration requirements were placed under the orders of the corresponding authorities.

Likewise, 1,782 tickets were placed for various violations of the Traffic Regulations, of these 657 were for speeding, 22 for proven drunkenness, 25 for talking on a cell phone, 04 for alcoholic breath and 100 inadequate lights.

With Operation Genesis 2022, security strategies are strengthened with a view to guaranteeing peaceful coexistence throughout the national territory.
