At least 169 people were apprehended in ‘Operation Genesis 2022’ in the last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, the Security Establishments apprehended 169 people through 36 raids where 2 firearms, 23 ammunition were seized, and 1,613 tickets were placed for traffic violations.

In the arrests of “Operation Genesis 2022” developed at the national level, 95 were for Trades, 47 for Administrative Misdemeanors, 8 for Flagrancia, 14 for micro-trafficking, and 5 for drug trafficking, 572 dollars were seized, and 261 drug packages were seized.

During the operations, 2 vehicles were recovered that had been reported for theft, a boat was seized and two emergency evacuations were carried out, 32 foreigners were also detected with expired stays, evasion of immigration controls, and alert impediments and undocumented persons, respectively.

Likewise, 1,613 tickets were placed for various infractions of the Traffic Regulations, of these 557 were for speeding, 14 for proven drunkenness, 20 for talking on a cell phone, 5 for alcoholic breath, 95 for inadequate lights, 20 for expired licenses and 43 vehicles were towed away with a crane.
