The shooting in Columbia, which left no injuries so far, is recorded after the man suspected of a similar action inside the Metro was arrested in New York
In the afternoon hours of this Saturday, April 16, a shooting was recorded inside a shopping center in Columbia, the capital of South Carolina in the United States, where at least 12 people were injured, of which 10 were shot.
This was reported by the head of the Columbia Police Department, William H. “Skip” Holbrook, who indicated that no fatalities have been reported so far. Similarly, he explained that three people linked to the incident were arrested and added that the ages of the victims range between 75 and 15 years.
So far, the police chief explained, it is not possible to talk about suspects because there is no information on their identity, what can be said is that the three shooters entered the shopping center with the intention of injuring or killing passers-by. .
This event also caused security officials to evacuate an area of 10 miles around the Columbiana Center Mall. Authorities believe that this shooting could have been caused by “some armed conflict” between criminal gangs who know each other.
Eight of the 10 wounded who received a bullet were taken to health centers, two of which were in critical but stable condition.
Meanwhile, the New York Police investigate another shooting that took place inside the Subway, specifically a train at the height of the Bronx, but that left no injuries.
The suspects were described as a man and a woman in their 20s, both Hispanic, who fled the train at the 183rd Street station.
This occurs after the New York authorities report on the arrest of the main suspect in the shooting in the city’s subwayincident that left 23 wounded, ten of them from bullets, last April 12th.
Of those injured by the shots, half are in critical but stable condition, said a health source, while there are another 19 treated in hospitals, several of them due to smoke inhalation.
