Marianne Peretti was born in Paris in 1927 and became a Brazilian citizen in the 1950s, when she moved to São Paulo and began to invest in her artistic career. In Europe, she had already done illustrations for books, but, on Brazilian soil, she dedicated herself to stained glass, panels, sculptures and reliefs for buildings.

There are stained glass windows by the artist in the Cathedral of Brasília, in the chapel of Palácio do Jaburu, in the Superior Court of Justice, in the Chamber of Deputies, in the Panteão da Pátria e da Liberdade and in the Juscelino Kubitschek Memorial.

There are works by the artist in several buildings by Oscar Niemeyer in other parts of Brazil and the world: at the headquarters of Revista Manchete (Rio of January), in the Burgo Building (Turin, Italy) and in the Maison de la Culture du Havre (Le Havre, France). In Paris, its first stained glass window, made for the Electricity Union Chamber, is on display on Boulevard Voltaire.

His drawings illustrated books such as La Greceby Dore Ogrizec, and the Almanach of Saint-German-des-Près.
