ASU 2022: Pirelli wins the 200 meters and climbs in the heptathlon

The Paraguayan athlete Ana Camila Pirelli won the 200-meter dash and moved up to second place at the end of the opening day in the heptathlon of the Odesur ASU 2022 Games, this Friday.

With a time of 25.23, Pirelli finished the 4th race in first place and added 866 pointsto climb to second place in the sum with 3435 at the close of the first day of the demanding discipline of athletics.

In the previous competitions, the national representative achieved 933 units in the 100m hurdles, 795 in the high jump and 781 in the shot put.

Martha Araujo Colombia leads the positions so far with an accumulated 3532 points.

The second and decisive day of the heptathlon will take place morning Saturday (09:05) with the remaining three modalities: long jump, javelin throw and 800 meter dash.

The heptathlon it’s a competition exclusive for women which takes place over two days, four tests on the first day and three on the second, consisting of achieving the best possible marks in each modality to add as many points as possible.
