Astronauts took off on offense and beat the Eagles

With a six-run rally in the first inning, the Los Santos Astronauts returned to winning ways with a resounding 11 runs to 3 victory over the Águilas Metropolitanas on matchday 18 of the Panamanian Professional Baseball League.

The Astronauts, who posted their third win of the season with 14 losses, went on a 14-hit offense, with seven players driving in at least one run in the game.

Julio Goff was the winning pitcher with a five inning job allowing two hits, two runs, fanning out three and conceding two walks. While Christian Allegretti charged with the defeat by pitching only 0.2 thirds of the episode where he allowed five hits, six runs, struck out two and gave two walks.

The best for the astronauts Germain Ruiz batted 5-4 with a run scored; Jean Arnáez 2-1, one scored and two pushed; Jairo Carrillo went 4-2 with a run scored and two RBIs, while Eduardo Thomas went 5-2 with one run scored and an RBI. For the Eagles Gerald Chin 3-2, a triple, a run scored and an RBI: Pedro Aguilar 4-1 with an RBI and Angel Basabe 4-2 with a double, a triple and a run scored.

The Astronauts (3-14) will face the Federales (13-4) this Thursday, January 5, starting at one in the afternoon, while the Águilas (7-11) face the Atlánticos (12-6) from seven p.m.
