The Board of Deans of Associations of Notaries of Peru spoke out regarding the social and political crisis in which the country finds itself manifesting who want a “democratic solution” to be found and to restore tranquility to the country. They expressed, first of all, that they reject the human losses since life “has no price” and then they rejected the road closures, the attempts to seize airports and the destruction of public and private property, as a result of the violent demonstrations in The inside of the country.
The group stressed that these actions of violent protests not only affect the people who are there, but also “cause damage and harm to the economy, seriously affecting the legal security and development of the country.”
For this reason, they called for the protests to be carried out peacefully, “with respect and tolerance, without causing harm, and for the police and military forces to act prudently within the framework of the Constitution and the laws.”
Along these lines, they urged the Executive Branch and the Congress of the Republic to establish a dialogue with the community, leaving aside “personal or institutional expectations” and thinking about the peace and tranquility of the country.
Finally, they also mentioned that issues such as inequality, forgetfulness and injustice must be overcome in order to have a fairer country.
