With 20 votes in favor, the Departmental Legislative Assembly of Santa Cruz approved the reformulate of POA 2025, to include the electrification project in Yapacaní. This was the condition that the settlers put to lift the blockade on the new Santa Cruz – Cochabamba route, which has been closed for three days.
And despite having generated opinions found, the assembly members also approved the process dispensation of the same project.
The new road that joins Santa Cruz with Cochabamba dawned, this Wednesday, blocked for the third consecutive day in the municipality of Yapacaní. The pressure measure was resumed near midnight on Wednesday, after an intermediate room of a few hours.
Light and heavy load vehicles remain stranded on both sides of the blockade. Passengers who need to get to Santa Cruz, Cochabamba or intermediate populations must make transfers and walk long distances, which implies an extra expense in passages and food.
With the determination of the assembly, the blockade is expected to rise in the next few hours.
