The Legislative Plenary approved in the third debate, Bill No. 958; approving the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes as amended, adopted in Helsinki on March 17, 1992.
According to the Assembly, this law protects and ensures the quantity, quality and sustainable use of transboundary water resources, promoting international cooperation.
While several communities in the country, including in the capital city, constantly complain about the lack of drinking water, this Tuesday the National Assembly approved a project to protect cross-border watercourses.
According to the Assembly, Bill No. 958; approves the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes as amended, adopted in Helsinki on March 17, 1992.
