The agreement was presented by the indigenous deputy Kariela Aray, who highlighted the importance of the relationship between living beings and nature, an element found in the Fifth Objective of Commander Hugo Chávez’s Homeland Plan.
“A very important agreement for our people and the world, who are part of Pacha Mama, our land. “We cannot allow capitalism to be above humanity. Here we are demonstrating to the Venezuelan people and to the world the two historically conflicting models. The consumerist, predatory, destructive model, deforestation, the capitalist model, before the ecosocialist model that protects the life of the planet”, he asserted.
In this regard, he recalled the progress of Venezuela in safeguarding life and the environment, including the planting of millions of plants and trees in the country through the Tree Mission, the creation of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, among others. .
Finally, he called on children and young people to protect biodiversity and Mother Earth.
