The National Assembly unanimously approved an Agreement commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of Chinahighlighting the development achieved by the Asian nation, as well as continuing to strengthen cooperative relations in various areas.
Deputy Rodolfo Sanz, who presented the Draft Agreement, noted that China has been the cradle of most of the inventions that the West claims as its own, including Newton’s first Law.
He noted that “before Columbus arrived in America, China had already arrived, because it had invented the magnetic compass, a fleet of more than 200 ships, compared to which La Niña, La Pinta and La Santa María were tiny vessels.” .
He indicated that in 45 years China became the first world power. “China has transformed inwards, 700 million people have been lifted out of poverty, with 400 million being middle class and an estimated 270 million high-level scientific professionals by 2030,” he noted.
He indicated that China changed the correlation of economic forces to the West. “All of China’s projects touch humanity, the initiative of global security and development. China does not talk about China, it talks about humanity (…), they talk about the balance of the universe,” he added.
Agreement
The Agreement approved by the Venezuelan parliament, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, by the leader of the revolution Mao Tse Tung, indicates that the Bolivarian Government ratifies the interest in consolidating joint work with the government of the People’s Republic of China, for the consolidation of a community of shared destiny, in order to promote a new stage of development and progress, for a pluripolar and multicentric world, free of all imperialism.
In this way, the Venezuelan parliament resolved to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, to continue strengthening relations through high-level cooperation and strategic partnership at all times, to guarantee the consolidation of major agreements in economic, social and educational matters, in favor of promoting the development and well-being of both peoples.
Likewise, a commission of deputies will personally submit the Agreement to the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Venezuela, Lan Hu.
