The State Health Services Administration (ASSE) will not make an offer for the infrastructure of the Casa de Galicia mutual insurance company because does not have the US$ 20 million necessary to acquire the facilitiesreported the president of the state entity, Leonardo Cipriani, at a press conference recorded by Underlined (Channel 10).
Cipriani recognized that they had “planned” to acquire the infrastructureeven they had “transmitted” it to the authoritiesbut explained that “There are issues that do not depend only on ASSE”and affect the Ministry of Economy –which owns the assets of the mutual company– and others private interests.
In January, Cipriani had said that he “would like” to stay “with the structure” of Casa de Galicia, because “ASSE needs another emergency door in Montevideo.”
In this sense, the president of ASSE indicated that the organization has as a priority the construction of the Hospital del Cerrowhich according to Cipriani will be ready by 2023, and “enlarge the door of the Saint-Bois”. Both structures reinforce the attention of emergency doors in the west, the hierarch remarked.
ASSE had an agreement with Casa de Galicia to use its emergency door with people referred by the SAME 105 service. The works will also cover the loss of this “support” in winter, Cipriani added.
