“We are already building a direct channel with the Federal Court of Auditors, aiming at transparent management and adopting a proactive stance before the TCU. We will deal with relevant Petrobras matters in advance to resolve doubts and create a culture of trust and collaboration between the institutions”, he said.

Assignments

The Federal Court of Auditors is responsible for overseeing public bodies and entities in accounting, financial, budgetary aspects, among others. As a mixed-capital company, Petrobras is regularly inspected by the agency.

In addition to the TCU, several other institutions such as the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), the Real Estate Commission (CVM) and the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) constitute the control and inspection system to which the company is submitted.

Also participating in the meeting were the Attorney General of the Union, Jorge Messias, and the Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture, Paulo Teixeira.
