In October, the Emergency Mitigation Fund (Fome) made significant progress in the implementation of its resources.

On the one hand, and thanks to the approval of Law 2155 of 14, 2021, or the Social Investment Law, the appropriation of an additional $ 3.32 billion was possible, with which the total amount of allocated resources reached $ 43.85 billion, and on the other, the use of resources advanced, since its accumulated execution in the 2020-2021 terms reached $ 38.04 billion, 86% of the total the money.
According to the latest White Book of the Ministry of Finance, which records the progress of the Fome, $ 15.96 billion have been approved for action lines for the care of the health emergency, of which in 2020 $ 7 trillion were executed, and in 2021 $ 8.1 trillion will go and $ 798.500 million remain pending. Compared to the September report, this line was the one that made the most progress in its execution.

A second axis is the care of the vulnerable population, which has approval of Fome resources for $ 17.47 billion. In 2020, $ 8.6 billion were allocated to this axis, and so far this year, as of October 31, there were $ 5.7 billion executed.
After the approval of the tax and the additional resources, this line now has $ 2.6 billion pending execution. Finally, in the area of employment protection and preservation of economic activity, $ 10.4 trillion has been approved, of which $ 6.3 trillion was executed in 2020 and this year $ 2.09 trillion has been allocated, and there is a $ 1.89 trillion lag to be disbursed.
