The Ministry of Health (Minsa) confirmed this Friday morning that from this Monday, March 28, the measure of the use of masks in open spaces is lifted, provided that a physical distance of at least one meter can be maintained.
The Minister in charge of Health, Ivette Berrío, stressed that the use of the mask or face mask will be maintained in closed spaces.
However, it was also clarified that students must keep the masks inside the classrooms, but they can remove them when they are outside the classrooms, such as on the playing fields.
He added that the use of the face shield or mask is also suspended in mass transportation, school buses; food outlets, bars, etc.
As for religious celebrations during the days of Holy Week, Berrío announced that mass activities will be allowed. “Those congregations that consider carrying out such activities must comply with biosecurity measures such as the use of a mask, hand hygiene, etc.”, he remarked.
