Botafogo’s coach, Portuguese Artur Jorge, stated that the Copa Libertadores final against Atlético-MG, next Saturday (30) at 4pm (Brasília time) in Buenos Aires (Argentina), is the match most important part of his career. THE National Radio broadcasts the confrontation live.
“I dare say it is the most important game of my career. There’s no doubt about that. It also brings me the responsibility and satisfaction of being able to enjoy the moment. This does not mean that we are not aware of our responsibility, as we carry a lot of people on top of us, we have the dreams of a lot of people behind us”, declared the Alvinegro commander in a press conference this Friday (29).
In the interview Artur Jorge also sent a direct message to the Botafogo fans, who for the first time in history will accompany their team in the decision of the international competition: “It is difficult to find the balance to contain the expectations of our fans […]. If I spoke directly to the fans, I would say: trust and believe.”
The captain of General Severiano’s team, midfielder Marlon Freitas, tried to eliminate any favoritism from his team, highlighting the quality of Atlético-MG: “It’s a Libertadores final. I believe that both teams arrive equally and it will be a very difficult decision. Both teams deserved to be in the final. There are two qualified teams, but we are prepared for this, to make a great final and achieve our dream”.
