Nearly fifty artists from a dozen countries will be presented at the fourth edition of the Festival Classic Havana, which will take place between November 5 and 20.
The organizing team, managed by the Esteban Salas Musical Heritage Cabinet of the Office of the Historian of Havanaannounced that the event will return to the Havana stages as part of the celebrations for the 503rd anniversary of the founding of the cuban capital, as reported the agency Latin Press (PL).
Under the artistic direction of Cuban pianist Marcos Madrigal, the event will host soloists, directors and musical, theater and dance groups from various nations. These include Germany, Canada, the United States, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom, among others, including the host country.

With the purpose of promoting the classical music and present Cuban culture to the international audience, the program will include concerts, master classes and spontaneous classical music events in the Plazas de Old Havana and other spaces, specifies the press report.
Add PL that the compositions of the notable Cuban violinist Claudio José Domingo Brindis de Salas (1952-1911) and the Dutchman Hubert de Blanck (1856-1932) will be heard on these stages, while other pieces from the contemporary repertoire will perform on stage, such as Havana Concertoof Jose Maria Vitier.
Likewise, the event proposes an approach to the work of composers Nicola Sani, artistic director of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, and Juan Piñera, coordinator of the Composition Chair of the University of the Arts of Cuba, according to the organizers.
Among the peculiarities of the new edition of the meeting, the articulation of the Classical Havana Festival with the Italian Culture Week stands out, as well as with the Contemporary Music and Mozart Havana festivals, in order to contribute to artistic education and support culture as a language of understanding, refers the news release.
