Artisans achieve sales commitments for more than one million soles in Craft Business Roundtable

The (Mincetur) reported that the one hundred artisans selected to participate in the 2022 Craft Business Roundtable, achieved sales commitments for S/ 1,004,780.

This was the result of the 282 meetings held together with 23 purchasing companies from various fields, including handicraft exporters, e-commerce, distributors, among others that supply the national and international market.

As recalled, Mincetur, through this event, sought to continue its support work to reactivate the economy of our artisan entrepreneurs who have been greatly affected by the pandemic.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sanchez, pointed out that this activity was carried out within the framework of the Plan for the reactivation of the tourism and craft sector that the government has been implementing and that allowed the participation of artisans from the regions of Amazonas, Apurímac, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Callao, Cusco, Huancavelica, Ica, Junin, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Pasco, Piura and Puno.

It is important to mention that the participating artisans were chosen by a qualifying jury that made the selection based on products, designs and innovation, in addition to cultural identity.
