An arson attack was recorded in the district of Cañete, precisely in the Mirador de Peleco sector, after midnight yesterday, affecting three properties in the area. In the place, a canvas was found in which justice is demanded for the death of the Mapuche community member, Eloy Alarcón.
Carabineros Commander Patricio Gómez, belonging to the 3rd Police Station of Cañete, told Emol that “the fire of two houses that were completely destroyed and another house that resulted in considerable damage.” It should be noted that two of the three buildings were inhabited.

For his part, the presidential delegate of Arauco, Humberto Toro, indicated that “as a government we are going to continue working hard because the investigations allow us to find this type of criminal who is generating such complex situations for the province, in particular this attack on homes where people who seek a good life live”.
It should be noted that no people were injured after the attack. The prosecutor on duty, Danilo Ramos, instructed the Carabineros to take charge of the investigation of the events.
