Officials from the La Guaira State Police frustrated an unlawful deprivation of liberty to the detriment of a mother and her two 12-year-old children, an event that occurred in the Playa Grande sector, Urimare parish in La Guaira state.
The events occurred at dawn on Wednesday, April 5, in the Hugo Chávez urban development, when Freddy Maquensi, the woman’s ex-partner, broke into the house after breaking a window, reported José Alejandro Terán, governor of La Guaira, at a press conference. .
The actions were carried out by the Immediate Response Brigade (BRI) of the state police, who after five hours and in a tactical operation, managed to release the victim and her two children. “After negotiating and talking with the perpetrator, it was possible to place him at the order of the Public Ministry,” explained the Governor of La Guaira.
Maquensi had a restraining order against the victim, for harassment and psychological violence, after complaints from his ex-partner in recent days.
During the procedure, a domestic gas cylinder, bladed weapons and other instruments were seized, with which the attacker intended to attempt the life of the woman and her two adolescent children.
