Colombian authorities arrested in the city of Barrancabermeja, in the department of Santander (Colombia), Alberto Carlos Mejía Hernández, one of the “most wanted” members of the Transnational Criminal Band Train of Aragua in Chile, police reported on Saturday.
In a binational operation, in which the Colombian Police, the National Central Office of Interpol Chile and Carabineros of the southern country participated, a red notification of the Interpol against the Aragua train member was effective.
“The fugitive planned and executed, together with other members of the transnational criminal organization, several murders, including the informal lender José Felipe Reyes Ossa, known as ‘The King of Meiggs’, perpetrated last June 19 in Ñuñoa (in Santiago),” said the director of the Colombian Police, General Carlos Fernando Triana.
After his arrest, Mejía Hernández, whom the Chilean authorities require it for the crime of qualified homicide, was available to the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office to “continue the respective diplomatic procedure for extradition.”

The Aragua Train was born in the Tocorón prison (Aragua State) and has been extended by several Latin American countries, such as Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Chile, where the authorities accuse her of committing numerous crimes, such as drug trafficking, extortion, kidnappings and homicides.
The United States Embassy in Colombia and the Colombian Police offer a total of $ 12 million for the capture of three leaders: Giovanny San Vicente; Yohan José Romero, aka ‘Johan Petrica’, and Héctor Guerrero Flores, aka ‘Niño Guerrero’.
The three mentioned are accused of crimes of conspiracy to commit crimes, drug trafficking and people, and money laundering.
