The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, announced the arrest of Eleangel David Navas Vidal, who will be charged with terrorist acts promoted by the extreme right in the state of Anzoátegui.
Through his account on the X network, Saab indicated that the subject committed the crimes of terrorism and incitement to hatred by participating in different violent acts carried out in the Simón Rodríguez municipality after the electoral day last Sunday.
The Attorney General explained that Navas Vidal was responsible for spreading fake news on social media to create anxiety and distress in the population.
He pointed out that the man arrested today used the username “DIARIO ORIENTAL” to spread manipulated information and thus generate fear and anxiety in different sectors of the population. He stressed that he was creating fake news and supporting the generalization of violent gatherings in the different municipalities of the southern area of Anzoátegui.
