Santo Domingo.- Members of the National Police Luis Ricardo Suazo de León (Ricky) was arrested this Saturday afternoon, accused of the death of a woman and a girl, whose bodies were found in a house under construction in the El Almirante sector of Santo Domingo Este.
The information was offered by the Police spokesman, Colonel Diego Pesqueirawho added that Suazo’s arrest occurred in the same sector where he carried out the murder of the victims identified as 40-year-old Marimel Pol (María) and her 10-year-old daughter Fabiola Pol.
He said that the women, of Haitian nationality, showed signs of violence by knife and that the investigations indicate that Marimel had a marital relationship with the perpetrator and that a month ago they had separated.

He further argued that according to the evidence, the tragedy would have occurred at Pol’s residence and that the lifeless bodies were transferred to the house under construction.
“Together with the Public Ministry, police agents actively pursue the aggressor to capture and bring him to justice so that the courts can impose the corresponding sanctions,” he said.
Similarly, the staff of the Criminal Investigation Department has raised other evidence that will be presented in a timely manner. The Police assured that in the next few hours they will respond to the case.

He added: “as the hours go by, new elements continue to emerge that further clarify the course of the investigation into this case.”
He explained that in the investigative process, a bloody sheet and a white cover containing bloody clothing were found in the room of the house where the fugitive was staying, and several bloodstains on the stairs, which were removed by the Scientific Police. .
On Friday, the horrendous murder of a woman and a girl was discovered, whose bodies were found wrapped in sheets in a house under construction, shocking residents of the El Almirante sector in the Santo Domingo Este municipality.
Upon discovering the lifeless bodies and with signs of violence, community members notified the authorities about the tragedy.
After starting the investigations, agents of the Scientific Police and Forensic Sciences lifted the bodies and collected evidence but did not offer details of the case under investigation.
The residents of El Almirante Caña ask that police surveillance be reinforced and at the same time they hope that the authorities can identify who committed this horrendous crime.
