Marches and sit-ins will be held tomorrow by members and leaders of the Conaie and the Peoples’ Parliament in support of the positions of social organizations.

Lasso seeks to lower tensions
One day from dialogue, President Guillermo Lasso granted a presidential pardon in favor of Carlos Chacha Iza, Gonzalo Antonio Villamil and Carlos Antonio Vargas (former president of the Conaie), who was sentenced to three years in prison for land trafficking.
According to the presidential statement, “this decision consists of the forgiveness of the custodial sentences and fines that have been imposed on them”; This was done through Executive Decrees N. 245 and 246.
