The doctor died Arnaldo Espaillat Cabralmaster of ophthalmology in the Dominican Republic, who was founder and president of the Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic.
The funeral services will be held at the Blandino Funeral Home this Monday, January 27, starting at 1:00 pm. The body mass will be held on Tuesday the 28th at 11:00 am, and then leave for the Cristo Redentor Cemetery, where he will receive a Christian burial.
Dr. Espaillat Cabral was founder of the Espaillat Cabral Institute and a key figure in the modernization of ophthalmology in the Dominican Republic. His departure represents a great loss for the country’s medical and educational field.
He had been President of the Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic on three occasions, and was one of the Founding Members of the Dominican Society of Ophthalmology. He has participated in multiple activities of the Dominican Society of Ophthalmology, always with talks and keynote presentations.
His legacy was described by the Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic as an example for future generations, leaving behind a career of service, dedication and professionalism. His family, made up of his children Arnaldo, Claudia, Alejandro, Daniela, Arlina, Arlette and Miguel Ángel, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, are grateful for the support and affection received during this difficult time.
