Members of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD) arrested two men who seized about 30 pounds of a vegetable, presumably marijuana, in an operation carried out in the Dajabón province.
The detainees are Danny Polanco Sosa and another man identified as Luis José Almontewho was not carrying documents at the time of his arrest.
They were both moving on board a motorcycle when they were intercepted by the acting soldiers.
During the search, a yellow sack containing three bales wrapped with duct tape, with a green vegetable, presumably marijuana, weighing approximately ten pounds each.
Operation details
The intervention was carried out by members of the Army prominent in the military post The Rodeoin the sector Rodeo Insidein the aforementioned province.
The detainees, along with the substance occupied and the motorcycle retained, were transferred to the headquarters of the Décimo Infantry Battalion of the Armywhere they will be made available to the competent authorities for the corresponding legal purposes.
