Santo Domingo. The Army of the Dominican Republic (ERD) made available to the Public Ministry to the driver of a minibus that transported 11 Haitians in irregular migratory conditionwhich faith arrested in the municipal district of Pedro Corto, in San Juan de la Maguana.
The operation was carried out by a patrol of the 12 Army mountaineer battalionattached to Pedro Short checkpointas part of the border control and security actions in the area.
The detainee was identified as Fernando Arturo Rodríguez Aquinoof Dominican nationality, according to the documents he carried. Rodríguez was driving Toyota Blanco Minibus, L19258 platein which undocumented foreigners were traveling.

The driver, the vehicle and the 11 Haitian citizens were transferred to the General strength José María Cabral del Erdwhere the corresponding processes are developed in coordination with the competent authorities.
With this type of operations, the army reaffirms its commitment to face the illicit traffic of migrants and reinforce control in border areasin support of the immigration policy of the Dominican State.
