Five men were shot during a party held at a motorcycle club in the city of São Carlos, in the interior of São Paulo. According to information from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of São Paulo, a 36-year-old man, drunk, harassed people and was removed from the scene.
A short time later, he returned armed and fired several shots at a group of people: two of them, aged 37 and 41, died on the spot. Two others, aged 36 and 50, were injured and taken to a hospital in the region. The names of the victims and the shooter have not been released.
According to the secretariat, military police who were nearby, responding to a complaint of disturbance of peace, saw the suspect trying to flee and gave the order to stop. “The man did not obey and pointed the gun at the police, who intervened. The suspect died at the scene,” says the SSP note.
The secretary informed that the case was registered as homicide, attempted homicide and death resulting from police intervention by the São Carlos Sectional Police Station, which requested the expertise. The criminal episode took place on Saturday night (25).
