Armed group tried to retake Cota 905

A group of armed individuals tried to enter Cota 905 but were repelled by agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), according to sources from the security agency.

Such a situation arose on Friday afternoon in the San Miguel sector, close to a police station. There were approximately eight individuals armed with rifles and explosive devices.

Police officials observed the movement and contained the criminal group whose members fled towards El Cementerio throwing grenades. Two soldiers were injured by the splinters of the explosive.

In July of last year, Cota 905 was the object of the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro I operation, which resulted in the eviction of the gang founded by Carlos Calderón (El Vampi) and whose most visible face was Carlos Revetti (El Koki).

After this eviction, some leaders of the gang fled to Colombia, while alias El Koki took refuge in Las Tejerías (Aragua) where he received protection from Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez (El Conejo), who in turn was commanded by Héctor Guerrero Flores. (Niño Guerrero), currently held in the Aragua Penitentiary Center, located in Tocorón.

El Koki and El Conejo resumed the plan agreed upon with Colombian drug cartels to build a safe route for drug trafficking in the central region of the country, which began at Cota 905.

To stop these plans, the Government launched the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro II operation in Las Tejerías on February 5. Three days later, he fell dead, alias El Koki, while El Conejo allegedly shriveled up on a farm located in Las Tejerías.
