Armed command executes 17 people at a wake in Michoacán

The armed men positioned themselves on the opposite sidewalk and after receiving a signal, they fired.

According to the first versions, the armed group broke into the wake, subdued the 17 people and then took them out of the place to later shoot them down.

So far, the Michoacan authorities have not issued a statement on this case.

Michoacán is suffering from a security crisis due to what specialists attribute to the dispute over the control of the territory of various criminal cells related to extortion and drug trafficking.

On January 27, seven people died in Zamora after being attacked by two subjects with high-powered weapons, according to the Secretary of Public Security of that state.

The massacre occurred inside the building known as La Casa Azul, where the armed men would have entered in search of a man.

So far in 2022, 193 intentional homicides have been registered in Michoacán, which placed the entity in the first place of the commission of this crime, according to the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection.
