Biography of Armando Guadiana
Santana Armando Guadiana Tijerina is a politician and coal businessman born in Múzquiz, Coahuila, on March 2, 1946.
He was a teacher teaching mathematics to students of Economics and Administration at ITESM (1968) and a teacher of Linear Algebra to Engineering students at ITESM (during 1868 and 1969).
He was also president of the Saraperos de Saltillo Baseball Club for more than 10 years and a member of the Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists of Mexico, and counselor of the Mining Chamber of Mexico.
Since he was little, in his native Múzquiz, Coahuila, in Guadiana Tijerina, the love for bullfighting was born.
Studies
He is a Civil Engineer and Master of Science, specializing in Operations Research, from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).
Political career and previous positions
Within his career as a public official, in the administrative branch he was Director General of Cadastre of the State of Coahuila from 1971 to 1973.
In the legislative field, he was a local deputy of the X Legislature in the Congress of Coahuila from 1973 to 1976.
Guadiana Tijerina was an active member of the PRI, until in 2012 she left the tricolor party to join Morena.
So it was that in 2016 he was a promoter of national citizenship, programs and actions of Morena in Coahuila and later competed as a candidate of this same party for governor of Coahuila in the 2017 state elections.
