The Colombian ambassador to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Armando Benedetti was reported by his wife Adelina Guerrero for an alleged assault that occurred on June 30.

According to reports from the Madrid police, shared by ‘Blu Radio’, the situation could have escalated into a physical assault, although witnesses present prevented this from happening.
The man was in an apartment in a private residence in the city of Madrid, Spain, with his partner. However, due to an altercation that is not yet known, a verbal assault would have occurred.
According to the Investigative Unit of EL TIEMPO, versions are classified as indicating that Adelina Guerrero has reportedly filed a complaint with the Specialized Unit for cases of gender violenceThe ambassador’s wife has not yet commented on the matter.

However, through his social network X account, Guerrero shared an image where he wonders what a sociopath is, which he says: “A sociopath is defined as a person who exhibits antisocial personality disorder, characterized by persistent patterns of manipulative behavior, lack of empathy, and disregard for social and legal norms.“The post was shared the day the alleged incident occurred.
For its part, The Colombian ambassador to the FAO said, regarding the alleged aggressionthat: “It is not true and does not correspond to the facts in Spain. The truth will be proven in the Spanish court.“.
He also said that at this time “finds herself in the middle of a divorce process that responds to the private and family sphere and, for the sake of her children, she will be prudent“.

Benedetti is being investigated by the Supreme Court for illicit enrichment, bribery and; by the Prosecutor’s Office, within the case of alleged violation of electoral limits in the Petro Presidente campaign, according to EL TIEMPO.

Although the Colombian government has not yet commented on this new incident, reports indicate that the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have already been informed through diplomatic channels.
