In order to generate economic development in the communities and close gender gaps, continental ark in Peru, bottling and exclusive marketer of Coca-Cola brands in the country, strengthened its social program ‘uncovering my entrepreneurship’, through a strategic alliance with the Centrum PUCP Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
Thanks to this collaboration, more than 200 entrepreneurs from the areas of Pucusana (Lima) and Moche (Trujillo) have received specialized training to enhance their businesses and position themselves as referents in their communities.
“As part of our sustainable business model, we have the commitment to promote the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In that sense, our alliance with Centrum PUCP marks a milestone on our way to strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurial women and reduce gender gaps, ”said Mariella Paredes, director of public affairs, communication and sustainability South America of continental ark.
On the other hand, Andrea Lazarte, deputy director of positive impact of Centrum PUCP, indicated that initiatives such as ‘uncovering my entrepreneurship’ tangible the purpose of Centrum PUCP to make quality education accessible. He also highlighted the significant impact of the program on the entrepreneurs of Pucusana and Moche where: “98.6% of the participants have redefined their concept of innovation, incorporating digital and financial strategies that have strengthened their businesses. As a result, 52.3% have expanded its customer base and 55.4% have improved the quality of its products and services, which demonstrates the transformative value of this initiative ”.
About the continental ark alliance in Peru and Centrum PUCP
The program included a constant accompaniment with the entrepreneurs, in addition to face -to -face sessions and business visits. This allowed 100% of the participants satisfactorily to complete their training and approve the evaluations certified by Centrum PUCP.
As a result, 95% of the participants indicated having applied at least one of the tools learned during this process. In addition, an increase in the use of digital platforms for the promotion of their products was observed, from 53% to 85%. Also, 92% indicated an increase in their income after implementing the techniques learned.
About ‘uncovering my entrepreneurship’
“Uncovering my entrepreneurship” is an initiative of continental ark in Peru that began in 2014 to promote the personal development and economic independence of the women of the communities where it operates, through training, specialized advisors and seed capital competitions, of The hand with the organization “Learn.”
