Deputy Gualberto Arispe, head of the bank of the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS), said that the opposition and civil society have the right to investigate the compensation of 1.6 million dollars received by the Coordinator of the 6 Federations of the Tropics of Cochabamba, which is chaired by former president Evo Morales.

“I understand that within the corresponding regulations there is collective compensation, that is what has been transferred in any case, but the opposition, the population, Bolivian society, and civil society are fully entitled to carry out the corresponding investigations” Arispe declared to Digital Seven Page.

Legislators and politicians critical of the Executive questioned the compensation of YPFB Transporte to that coca-growing organization and announced requests for a report, in addition to requesting an investigation.

Asked if compensation to a union is legal, Arispe replied: “The regulations should be reviewed. The truth is, I do not have in-depth knowledge of the subject, but nevertheless I believe that there is a document, when the pipelines pass through the territories, then the company in any case puts a percentage to that sector and I understand that these are those monies “.
