The most anticipated night of Arianne I and of the Peons closed one more chapter from Cruceño Carnival: The Coronation of His Majesty, mounted within the framework of an artistic show loaded with brightness and color, organized by the Association of Carnival Comparsas (ACCC) and the 2025 Coronator Comparsa.
Under the title 200 years free and carnivalthe staging, written by the renowned theater director Porfirio Azogue, integrated theater, music and dance in a narrative loaded with history and humor. Production He paid tribute to the festive and brave spirit of the cross -countryinspired by the work of Dirambo theater company.
Legendary figures such as Don Justo ‘El Loco’ Bazán (Jorge Urquidi), the Camba Pechí (Tomás Bascopé), Mateo Flores (Gerónimo Mamani) and Ana Barba (Vanesa Áñez) came alive on stage to tell the story of Santa Cruz, from the fight for independence to contemporary events.
The music was a fundamental pillar of the event, with the direction of the outstanding musician Claudio Arduz and the participation of renowned artists such as Miky Cabruja and David Zurita. Accompanying this experience, Rodrigo Padilla, choreographer of the Mitajori group, led a cast of more than 50 dancers, who with their talent and energy transferred to the public through a tour full of tradition and joy.
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the presentation of the imposing Ariane suit, designed by Galo Sánchez. Inspired by the 200 years of Santa Cruz, the outfit is distinguished by its red and gold tones, feathers brought from Brazil and a support nine meters wide by seven and a half meters highwith a weight greater than a ton.
The parade of the queens of the troupes that will participate in the Corso del Carnaval Cruzanño was one of the high points of the night, with more than 30 sovereigns parading on the stage in a sample of the diversity and beauty of the holiday.
