During a press conference, Argimón highlighted the cooperation and transparency that have marked this process, as well as the challenges that the new Parliament will face, including the celebrations for the centenary of the Legislative Palace.
“I like to highlight, and it is also good at this time of year, where there are people from abroad who are looking at our statements, the level of work we have had with engineer Cosse’s team. “It has been under the best terms, with all the information available,” said Argimón.
Likewise, the vice president pointed out that during her administration all administrative decisions of Parliament were adopted unanimously and without observations from the Court of Auditors. “For us it is very important, because it reflects orderly and responsible management,” he stated.
In relation to the next parliamentary period, Argimón stressed that one of the main tasks will be the organization of the celebrations for the 100 years of the Legislative Palace, which will be celebrated in 2025. In this context, he highlighted the historical and symbolic relevance of this celebration: “It is something that has to do with the very essence of the democratic DNA that we Uruguayans have.”
