Argimón does not vote for euthanasia bill

“I am one of those who go through the palliative process,” said Vice President Beatriz Argimón, and set a position on the euthanasia project that was approved in Deputies. the vice president Beatrice Argimon advanced its position contrary to the bill that regulates the euthanasia approved this week in the Chamber of Deputies and now passed to the Senate for discussion and voting.

Argimón stressed how “important” it is that these issues be debated in Parliament and pointed out that in his political group, the National Party, there is freedom of action so that each legislator conscientiously votes on this euthanasia bill.

“In my case, I have historically had a position that has not changed, and I am not going to support this bill. I am one of those who go through the palliative process, but I highlight the level of the debate and we hope it will have the same level in the Senate because it helps us all to reflect,” said the vice president at a press conference this Friday in Punta del This, where he attended the America Business Forum.
