The new electoral process will determine the composition of Congress for the last two years of President Javier Milei’s term. Internally, the election is seen as a referendum that will assess the impact of the Argentine president’s profound austerity policies.

Renewal

Half of Argentina’s Chamber of Deputies, i.e. 127 seats, as well as a third of the Senate, i.e. 24 seats, are up for grabs. The most relevant race will take place in the province of Buenos Aires, where a large number of places are contested.
