Inflation in November in Argentina was 4.9% compared to the month of October, which had registered a rise of 6.3%, reported the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). Likewise, the data broke the floor of 5%, something that had not been registered since the 4.7% registered in February of this year.
Meanwhile, the general price level accumulated had an increase of 85.3% in the eleven months of 2022, while in the year-on-year comparison it registered a rise of 92.4 percent. The marked decrease compared to the last report is due to a general decrease in the dynamics of increases in a large part of the items measured by INDEC. In particular, the “Food and beverages” and “Clothing and footwear” segments, with a high incidence in the total index, were the main drivers for pulling the November figure down.
The variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) corresponding to the eleventh month of the year was around 5.5%, according to the Monetary and Financial Report of the LCG consultancy. In the same way, the Survey of Market Expectations (REM) carried out at the end of last month by the Central Bank placed the inflation level below the 6.3% of October.
The Consumer Price Index is the fourth lowest in the last 12 months.
