Argentina has notified the United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission in Lebanon that it is withdrawing three of its officers.
The information was confirmed by a spokesperson for Unifil – the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, a mission created in 1978 – this Tuesday (19).
“Correct. Argentina asked its officials to return,” said Andrea Tenenti, in response to a question about a newspaper report.
He refused to comment on the reason for the withdrawal, referring the question to the Argentine government.
