The chancellor, santiago cafierohighlighted this Monday that Argentina will surpass the US$ 100,000 million for exports of goods and serviceswhich makes it possible to “finance the growth of the economy and employment”, by touring the plants of the automotive company Toyota and the Biogenesis Bagó biotechnology company.
When reviewing the results of the Foreign Ministry’s 2022 National Export Plan, Cafiero said that “reaching US$ 100,000 million in external sales implies that all sectors have made a maximum effort.”
During his tour of the Toyota plant located in the town of Zárate in Buenos Aires, the minister indicated that “for Argentina, having a dynamic export sector such as the automotive sector represents bringing Argentine products and talent to the world and also financing the growth of the Argentine economy and of employment”.
At the meeting were the president of toyota argentina, Gustavo Salinas; the General Manager of Institutional Affairs, ezekiel vallejos; and the general secretary of the municipality of Zárate, Patricia Moyano.
Cafiero was accompanied by the Secretary of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco; the Undersecretary of Trade and Investment Promotion, Guillermo Merediz; and the director of Intermediate Organizations and Public Diplomacy, Alejo Sarna.
The head of the Palacio San Martín stated during his visit to the automaker that “this is a purely exporting plant, where every 80 seconds a vehicle is madewhich then has as its export destination not only Mercosur, but also Central America and which has been gaining highly competitive markets”.
The president of Toyota, for his part, ratified the importance “of joint work between the public and private sectors to boost exports and generate more foreign currency and employment for the country.”
Subsequently, the Foreign Ministry authorities went to Escobar, where together with the local mayor, Carlos Ramilvisited the productive establishment of Biogenesis Bagóan Argentine capital biotechnology company focused on animal health.
The foreign minister said that “Biogenesis Bagó is a high-quality company with world prestige, which has a chapter in the recovery of the Argentine economy after the pandemic and also in the record for exports this year.”
As a member of the Association of Automotive Factories, Toyota actively participates in the Public-Private Council for the Promotion of Exports.

The general director of Biogénesis Bagó, Esteban Turic, highlighted that it is “the number one company in the veterinary field and the largest in Latin America, with a production capacity of around 450 million doses of vaccines, which are exported to more of 60 destinations around the world”.
