Argentina rules out sanctioning Russia

Buenos Aires. The government of Argentina yesterday ruled out imposing sanctions on Russia while those of Cuba, Venezuela and Uruguay spoke out against the censorship imposed by the European Union on Russia Today (RT) and Sputnik. The Argentine foreign minister, Santiago Cafiero, stated that Argentina does not consider that unilateral sanctions are a mechanism to generate peace. His Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez, accused hypocrisy to technology companies muzzle to RT in retaliation for the Russian incursion into Ukraine.
