After a third wave of coronaviruswith figures that reached 800,000 infections during its highest peak, it seems that the country is slowly beginning to overcome the pandemic.
This, if one takes into account that during the last 7 weeks the level of cases per the virus has decreased significantly, since since the second week of January the infections of coronavirus dropped 97%.
However, the Ministry of Health in its latest report reported that 75,053 cases of coronavirusof which 6,096 were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
In total, the country already has 8,955,458 infections since the start of the pandemic, in addition to 126,955 deathswhich have also been reduced in recent weeks.
In relation to deaths, the ministry reported a decrease of 54% between this and the last week, despite this, 55 more deaths were confirmed yesterday. The deaths occur mainly in those over 60 years of age.
Regarding occupancy in the Intensive Care Units, the report indicates that there are 916 beds with COVID-19 patients, of which 39.9% are in the AMBA.
The country advances in vaccination against coronavirus
Essential part to maintain the pandemic Vaccination has been stable and cases on a downward trend, since to date 94,495,003 doses have been applied.
Of this, 40,434,747 correspond to people who started their vaccination, while 36,575,975 refer to complete schemesthat is, of those who started the inoculation, 3,858,772 still need to receive the second dose.
Leading the vaccination ranking are Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Tucumán and CABA. 52% of the vaccines applied correspond to women, while 47% to men.
To date, in the territory, 102,309,390 vaccines have been distributed from the different pharmaceutical companies with which commercial agreements were advanced. Of these, 5,083,000 were donated.
